Evaluation of the Effects of Neptune Krill Oil on the Clinical Course of Hyperlipidemia
The results of the present study demonstrate within high levels of confidence that krill oil is effective for the management of hyperlipidemia by significantly reducing total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides, and increasing HDL levels. At lower and equal doses, krill oil was significantly more effective than fish oil for the reduction of glucose, triglycerides, and LDL levels.

Clinical Investigation of the Protective Effects of Palm Vitamin E Tocotrienols on Brain White Matter
Vitamin E is a general term representing 2 classes of compounds, namely tocopherols and tocotrienols. Tocotrienols, but not tocopherols, have been reported to possess neuroprotective properties at concentrations within the physiological relevant range. Using hippocampal HT4 neuronal
cells and immature primary cortical neurons, Sen et al1 and Khanna et al2 showed that a-tocotrienol at nanomolar concentrations was able to block glutamate-induced neuronal cell death by suppressing early activation of c-Src kinase and 12-lipoxygenase pathway, which is independent of its antioxidant property.
